Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon travels to Prague to attend a lecture by Dr. Katherine Solomon, a noetic scientist and his romantic interest. Her groundbreaking research suggests that consciousness exists beyond the brain, circulating in a universal field. But the lecture ends in tragedy—a brutal murder—and Katherine vanishes along with her manuscript. Langdon becomes the target of a powerful secretive organization and is pursued by a mythical assailant drawn from Prague’s ancient folklore.
