SAY NO TO DRUGS

The use of dependence - producing substance, in some form or the other, has been a universal phenomenon. In India also, the abuse of alcohol, opium and Cannabis had been known for a long. But induction of drugs like heroin, hashis, LSD, MDMA etc. is a new trend. Drug experimentation and drug dependency have spread among all age, social, ethnic and economic groups. The exploding problem of alcoholism and drug addiction is now of paramount public concern. Drugs may be found even in classrooms. They are creating a tremendous dilemma to parents, teachers and administrators. Law inforcement, education and science have all failed to come up with an effective drug abuse prevention programme. Parents, legislators and community are expecting educational system to help in the resolution of this problem. The book “Say no to drugs“ will be a beacon of light in this context.
